Farewell to Celtic Thunder.

 Hi Everyone,

Today is a very bitter sweet day and this is not easy to say at all. It saddens me to tell you that I wont be on the road with Celtic Thunder this fall.
I love performing with Celtic Thunder and always will. I've given the past 10 years of my life to the show. And you have been there every step of the way.
I have had many laughs, tears and learned so much from it.
I was a solo artist before I joined Celtic Thunder and have always continued to do so. For the 1st time in my career after hammering at it for over 12 years I am at a point where I have to go it alone and push everything I am doing for myself as far as I can.
This isn't a final goodbye to CT... Just a break to concentrate fully on my own music. I'm sure when we work it out in our schedules, I'll be up there swinging a kilt again at some point in the near future.
I just recorded a TV special last week in LA which will be getting released with a live album. And i'm right in the middle of recording an acoustic orchestral Christmas album with Brian Byrne which will be released this Christmas with a Christmas tour! You have so much music and good news coming your way.
Thank you for everything Celtic Thunder, the music, the friends & more importantly you guys the fans.
I Love you all, and appreciate every single thing you have ever done. From just listening to my music, liking something on Facebook, to coming to my shows and grabbing my Albums.

I have worked my ass off for everything I have in my life... a lot of the time at a loss of my own with things like family, friends and personal life.  I will continue to follow my own musical path now even more.  I will have even more time to crack this thing they called the "Music Business." Stay with me for the ride.  It's gonna be fun.

Keith,

x.

First time I saw Celtic Thunder perform was on Facebook back in June 2016. The song performed was from your Legacy 11 album Hallelujah and I was hooked. Not only was it a beautiful song, but the lyrics and performance was captivating. I have a friend who has been following your group for years, attends many of your concerts when you're in the Chicago or Milwaukee areas. When she read my post she sent me an email and said "Celtic Thunder will be performing in Milwaukee Sept. 29th....would you like to go?" Of course I said yes and it was very enjoyable, but I was disappointed to hear you had the left the group. I went to your website, viewed your upcoming schedule and I will try and become a fan!! LOL Im an old lady....ha ha...but finally have time in my life to do the things that I enjoy. So I wish you well on your new adventures with your beautiful wife and adorable daughter, may God bless you and protect you in your travels. Sincerely, Terri

I have followed you and Celtic Thunder from the beginning. I've even been able to attend two of your concerts. I follow but have never commented before. Let me say I've enjoyed your music, and appreciated the shows throughout the years. Your talent, hard work and spirit are shown in your work. I wish you well and all the best for the future. I'll look forward to the new albums and the Christmas Show.

Keith you have my utmost respect and loyalty for all the hard work you have put in to make a name for yourself in the music industry. Your work ethic and loyalty to your fans have served you well! It's time for you to leave Celtic Thunder and fly solo, all your true fans know this. I will look forward to you re visiting the group from time to time. And with that being said I can't wait for your new albums to come out. And I am waiting for the song you wrote for the wedding!! I wish you and Kelsey many years of smooth sailing and lots of wee Harkins. ( The Mothers curse "I hope you grow up and have twins just like you" ) I love you guys like my own and will see you at the next Keith Harkin concert!!

Is this farewell to Celtic Thunder or see you later?!!!!!i understand your efforts now require so much devotion to these moments and I would think most especially your marriage. I hope you can find a way to meld your lifetime gifted work with the serendipitous root that gave you wings. It's like family you grow and go to bless all in the final act. Thanks. Hope to see your loyalty to each one remain. All this has gifted you to be in the wonderful space that you are May God bless you with all God needs to fill your life with his plan for you.

My heart is broken too. I never could scrape up enough money to go to a CT show, but now a friend said she would take me as a Christmas gift. It won't be complete with out Keith. There will always be an empty spot for him on stage with CT. Love you Keith.
